Three intimate cabins where nature isn't the backdrop but part of the experience, just 100 km from Bucharest
It all started with the wish to create a place where peace and nature come first. On our travels around Romania we discovered this corner of the Doftana Valley, with its authentic landscapes and the famous "cașcavea de Doftana" cheese. For a year we searched for the right plot of land, and in 2022 we began construction: long drives, sleepless nights, trial and error, but also the joy of every step forward.
That's how Nordlys Retreat was born, a project designed for couples, families or anyone who wants to combine work with fresh air and the quiet of the mountains. The three cabins DOFTmini, DOFTstudio 1 and DOFTstudio 2 were built with care, each with its own 100–150 m² yard.
